Field Trip to View Northern California Wild Orchids in their Natural Habitat - Feather River Canyon (East of Oroville/Chico)

Date: June 20th.


Meet at the Odd Fellows Hall at 7:45.  Leave at 8:00.  Regroup at the Oroville Walmart, 355 Oro Dam Blvd. (Off of Highway 70) near the Nursery at about 9:15. 

Leave Walmart parking lot at about 9:30. ( Oro Dam Blvd is an off ramp from Highway 70, you will turn right and go about one block to the Walmart Parking Lot)  The first orchid stop is about a one hour drive up Highway 70 through the Feather River Canyon. 


Bring Lunch, snacks, and drinks.  Hiking shoes, hats ,sunglasses, sunscreen, repellant, and  a camera are also recommended.  There is poison oak in this area!
