SUBMITTING YOUR FORM/PLANT LIST
Please send your plant registrations to me at pjwalgenbach@frontiernet.net as soon as you get the list together. (Please do not use my ucdavis.edu account) Sorry, I don't have a fax at home.
IF YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT CLASS TO PUT A PLANT INTO, PLEASE CONTACT ONE OF THE EXPERIENCED GROWERS. I CANNOT GUESS BASED ON A NAME.
If you are uncertain about whether or not a plant will be ready for or last until the show, list it anyway! I have approximately 400 entries to catalog and tags to print and that's a lot at the last minute! I would rather have more entries in early, and delete the 'no-shows' and tear up some tags, than have a bunch of last minute entries on Friday afternoon.
If you have a LOT of plants and working with the form/table is tedious, you may just list the information in the text of your e-mail, OR provide me with a simple list in WORD or EXCEL. I can deal with the information either way. I can also handle WordPerfect if you use it.
If you are sending a file, PLEASE SAVE YOUR FILE USING THE "OLD" versions of Word or Excel with the file extensions .doc or .xls ( NOT docx or the new Excel extension) I have not upgraded and the "new" versions don't convert down very well.
PLEASE DO NOT send me a pdf file because I cannot transfer the information easily, if at all.
PLEASE NOTE:
I UNPLUG MY CLUNKY OLD COMPUTER AND PACK IT UP ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON BEFORE THE SHOW. I DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO MY E-MAIL THEREAFTER.
IF I DON'T HAVE YOUR INFORMATION BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON OR EARLY EVENING, YOU WILL NEED TO BRING THE FORM TO ME ON FRIDAY AND WAIT WHILE I DO YOUR ENTRIES AND TAGS.
