I've been reading up on Phals and it seems there are differing opinions on what kind of light requirements are needed (I'm probably just misunderstanding then but I'm still pretty new to growing orchids). My main question is, should a Phalaenopsis be given direct sunlight?

As you can see from the attached picture, I have a couple of Phals and a dendrobium growing in the window sill. They get about 1 hour & 40 minutes of direct sunlight there. Is this a good or bad thing for them? Should they be somewhere else?

Any help you more experienced growers can provide is greatly appreciated.
