This month, our guest speaker is Rob Griesbach and he will be discussing the fascinating world of 'Orchid Genetics'. This is one of those subjects that is central to orchid reproduction and hybridization. And we all know that orchids get moved (renamed) to new groups all of the time and this subject will help shed some light on why that is.

We will also have our Show & Tell tables where members bring in their blooming orchids for everyone to enjoy. Come early (the doors open at 6:00PM) to check out the orchids and talk to the growers about them. They can give you tips on how to grow them and other orchids in our area. You can also check them out at the break in the meeting.

We have refreshments available at each meeting. After our speaker, we take a break and have a quick snack and/or drink. This also gives you a chance to take a look at the Show & Tell and raffle tables. After refreshments, we do a brief talk about some of the orchids on the Show & Tell tables and then hold our monthly raffle. Tickets are available at the meeting and there's a good chance that you'll go home with a new orchid.
