Sacramento Orchid Society October Meeting

  • The Odd Fellows Hall 1831 Howe Ave. Sacramento, CA USA (map)

This month we will have Frank Cervera talking about Phragmipedium orchids. Frank has been studying Phragmipedium orchids in nature for the last 25 years. Phragmipedium orchids are part of the slipper orchid alliance and are found in South & Central America. Learning more about these beautiful and easy to grow orchids should be helpful to everyone.

We will also have our Show & Tell tables where members bring in their blooming orchids for everyone to enjoy. Come early (the doors open at 6:00PM) to check out the orchids and talk to the growers about them. They can give you tips on how to grow them and other orchids in our area. You can also check them out at the break in the meeting.

We have refreshments available at each meeting. After our speaker, we take a break and have a quick snack and/or drink. This also gives you a chance to take a look at the Show & Tell tables.

The meeting is open to the public; you need not be a member to attend. For more information about our meetings and the society, check out our website at https://www.sacramentoorchids.org/.
